SINCE 1949
1949
RCF IS ESTABLISHED
In 1949, its three founders had a bold vision based on technology that was considered a niche at the time. RCF was founded to produce OEM speakers and microphones for international companies, as well as selling them under its own brand.
1950
PUBLIC ADRESS
In the 50’s the activity evolved in the development of an extensive line of public address products as well as the design and manufacturing of transducers for the professional market.
1960
TRANSDUCERS RESEARCH AND DESIGN
Many international loudspeaker pioneers founded RCF to be one of the most reliable, high-powered transducers to use in their speaker designs. A range of 12-, 15- and 18-inch loudspeakers became the backbone of the company’s catalog.
1970
HI-FI SPEAKERS
RCF entered into the Hi-Fi Home speaker market, developing a very successful line of cabinets and amplifiers. The BR 40 was a lasting product in the market for several decades.
1980
CAR AUDIO
The product offering was expanding and the international sales network had intensified. A bold line of car speakers made with carbon fiber was developed.
1990
PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS
RCF entered the professional speaker market with it's own brand, rather than only providing transducers to other speaker companies.
1996
ART 300-A
The ART 300-A was a milestone in the market. It was one of the very first portable, composite material loudspeakers, with exceptional sound quality.
1998
PART OF A GROUP
RCF becomes part of an international group until the end of 2003 when previous shareholders take over the company again and start a new chapter in the history of the company
2004
A NEW ERA STARTS
Taking advantage of past experience and know-how, moving forward with a passionate and skilled team, developing a series of new products such as ART and 4PRO.
2006
TT+ LINE
The professional offer of products grows quickly with solutions for the Install market and for the Touring and Theatre applications creating the RCF TT+ High Definition Touring and Theatre line.
2010
AUDIO ACADEMY
Audio Academy project starts. A separate Educational section in RCF is created with the aim of providing education in acoustics and audio topics to students and professionals.
2012
HDL 20-A
HDL 20 is launched, a line array in composite material that quickly becomes the most sold product in its category and was the launching pad for the new HDL product line.
2015
M 18
RCF enters the mixing console market developing M18, an innovative, compact, and easy-to-use digital mixer for musicians and professionals.
2017
NEW ACADEMY
Inauguration of the new RCF Demo Facility and Audio Academy.
2019
70TH BIRTHDAY
RCF celebrated its 70th birthday in spectacular fashion with “A Night in Laguna” at the famous old Venice Arsenal.
2021
ART 9 SPEAKER SERIES
ART 9 series deliver a stunning breakthrough in audio performance with new RCF technologies such as FiRPHASE, Bass Motion Control, True Resistive Waveguide, and M-Brace.
2022
RCF ARENA
RCF Arena is equipped with more than 400 RCF TT+ speakers and approximately 2 Megawatts of sound power to serve the 103,000 people audience with optimal acoustic clarity.
2023
XPS SERIES
The XPS Series is the platform for reinventing RCF power management in both touring and installed use. RDNet-connected amplifiers provide seamless control of the sound system with virtually no limits.

TT+ AUDIO
As an independent brand within the RCF family, TT+ AUDIO embodies Italian expertise and creativity for the most challenging audio applications to set a new benchmark for professional audio systems.
2024
75TH ANNIVERSARY

NEW ANECHOIC CHAMBER
The new Anechoic Chamber, part of the recent RCF’s R&D labs expansion, enhances measurement quality and speeds up product design.
