Advanced Configuration, Simplified

RCF has created a groundbreaking solution for offline/unpowered device configuration. With RDTap, users can inspect and configure devices without needing to power  the device. Sound engineers can design a system within the RDTap App on the move and configure each subwoofer by tapping the RDTap logo, with RCF [patent-pending] contactless technology. As an alternative, RDNet management software enables comprehensive real-time control and monitoring of compatible, network-connected devices.

SOUND SYSTEM MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL SOFTWARE

RDNet is the RCF management software suite for Sound System Engineers. A robust management network for RCF devices, a line-array design tool, a monitoring platform, and a complete audio analyzer in one package.
RDNet provides intuitive management of every connected device/object on the network. Network users can control all DSP settings inside any compatible device, including advanced subwoofer configurations, from a single object to groups of objects.
RDNet users can edit and create recallable presets for RCF devices.
Responsive Image
The RDTap app offers contactless communication with the subwoofer. Users can access pre-loaded presets to quickly configure popular RCF system or optimize compatible speakers, subwoofers, and line arrays.

RDTap enables contactless communication, offering setup management and parameter updates, even when the unit is unpowered. By tapping the RDTap logo at the back panel with a smartphone running RDTap, the app transfers to the unit every aspect of the defined setup, including preset configurations, equalization, mid-low compensation for line arrays, and precise delay and time alignment settings. Or read the status of the speaker.
This is specially convenient when upgrading your subwoofers and giving your old main system a new life, with the assistance of presets, EQs, delays, and management via RDNet.
Unlike other control technologies that operate over long distances, this solution focuses on near-field interactions, where security, precision, and unpowered operations before rigging are key. Data transmission occurs at close range, ensuring that changes are applied only when intended, without interference from further distances or external devices. This makes it a highly efficient and user-friendly way to manage the subwoofer’s settings and performance before set up takes place.

ADVANCED CROSSOVER ENGINE

FACTORY-TUNED PRESETS FOR PERFECT SUB-TOP PAIRING
Pair your full-range speaker with RCF ACE-enabled SUBs and unlock your system's true potential.
RCF’s proprietary Advanced Crossover Engine (ACE) is engineered to precisely match the time delay and align the phase on a broader range than the usual crossover frequency range between RCF subwoofers and FiRPHASE-enabled full-range speakers.

Drive the Rhythm of the Beat

With up to 8000 Watts of power, our Class-D amplifier can manage extreme sound pressure levels with an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and very low thermal loss.

The stereo input circuit features a low distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. RCF amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and present a Switch-Mode Power Supply section that combines high efficiency with minimum weight.
INPUT - FEMALE XLR INPUTS (BALANCED)
The system is equipped with female XLR connectors, allowing the connection of balanced audio signals. These inputs accommodate professional-grade audio sources, ensuring compatibility with standard audio equipment.
LINK OUT - MALE XLR SIGNAL OUTPUT
The male XLR output connector provides a loop-through feature, enabling daisy-chaining of additional speakers. The balanced connector is wired in parallel with the input and can also be used to send the audio signal to supplementary devices like other powered speakers or amplifiers.
XOVER OUT - MALE XLR SIGNAL OUTPUT
This balanced male XLR output is specifically designed to feed RCF satellite speakers. The output configuration can be customized by loading a preset via the RDTAP app, ensuring seamless integration between subwoofers and satellite speakers.
LEVEL SELECTOR
This seven-position selector allows for attenuation ranging from 0dB (no reduction) to -12dB with a two-dB step resolution. This selector offers precise level matching for optimal performance within the sound system, helping to avoid clipping or distortion from overly strong input signals and ensuring seamless integration with other audio components.
SETUP SELECTOR
This selector is a 4-position rotary switch designed to control the operating configuration of the subwoofer.
  • 1 – Low-Pass Filter at 60 Hz
  • 2 – Low-Pass Filter at 80 Hz
  • RDNET – RDNet-based configuration
  • RDTAP – App-Based Configuration
SERVICE: USB-C PORT
A dedicated USB-C port is is available for service access. The recommended method to update the internal firmware is via RDNet.
SUB MUTE BUTTON
When the SUB MUTE button is pressed, the subwoofer enters a muted state. When in mute state, the button itself lights up red to provide clear visual confirmation that the subwoofer is muted. Simultaneously, the DELAY, PHASE, and CARDIOID LEDs on the RDTAP panel also illuminate red. These additional indicators provide further confirmation and make it easier to identify the subwoofer’s muted status, even from a distance.
DATA IN – DATA LINK: RDNET INPUT/OUTPUT SECTION
The RDNet In/Out plug section features etherCON connectors for integration within an RDNet network. This connectivity allows for full system control and monitoring through RDNet software, enabling precise adjustments and real-time feedback for advanced audio management.

RDTAP AREA
The RDTAP Area is a specialized feature on the subwoofer panel that enables streamlined configuration transfer even when the subwoofer is unpowered. By bringing a smartphone running the RDTAP app close to this designated area, the user can wirelessly transmit a pre-designed system configuration directly to the subwoofer.

Advanced Precision Transducers

SUB 9000 Series subwoofers incorporate the latest transducer technology from our labs. Employing lightweight aluminum core coils, high-damping cellulose cone material, composite spiders and a 4-layer inside-outside voice coil, the ultra-long excursion moving mass gains high power with fast acceleration. Despite their small and lightweight footprints, SUB 9000 Series subwoofers produce powerful yet articulate bass, remaining true to even the most subtle low-frequency variations.

High-Class Neodymium

Neodymium, a rare-earth material, enhances efficiency, power handling, and weight reduction. Using a 20% stronger magnetic field than typical neodymium grades, this new design enables precise control and higher force.

Bass Motion Control

When searching for an extended bass with enhanced performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the newly advanced woofer excursion management feature. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity.

The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions. This gives total freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. When high-pass filters normally protect the woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules.
